The trial of a man charged with a string of sexual offences against five different women in the early hours of Sunday morning is due to begin today.

Abdelkarim Arfaoui is due to appear before the Royal Court this afternoon for a trial that is expected to last all week.

The charges include attempted rape sexual touching without consent. He was also charged with one common assault and one grave and criminal assault.

The alleged incidents all took place between 6am and 7.20am in St Helier on Sunday 30 November.
