A 28-year-old man – who has not been named – was arrested in St. Helier on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and failing to stop and report the collision. He was later released on bail to allow for further investigations to be carried out.
Following the success of a fundraising page set up in memory of the father and son, the ‘Lowe’s Legacy Fund’ was launched last week to promote accessibility to the arts and music, support disadvantaged communities in the island and aid development of those with learning disabilities – subjects close to Dean and Charlie’s hearts.

The Lowe’s Legacy Gig was the first fundraising event for this fund.
A host of local acts took to the stage in memory of Dean and Charlie including Beatles tribute band, the Beantles, and a ‘Mad-Chester mash-up’ involving musicians who had played with Dean and knew him.
The event raised £17,000 and counting.

Organisers Alison Blance and Toni O’Flaherty said: “It was a fun-filled evening with lots of laughter and memories shared.
“Amazing music by very talented local artists all of which had either played and were friends of Dean.
“We are still counting and collecting some of the funds raised from the gig, raffle and donations made which exceed £17,000.”
They added: “We are very happy with how the event turned out which exceeded all our expectations.
“There was a lot of laughter had, a few tears and lots of fun.
“At the end of the night, everyone was chanting ‘Deano’ which was a fitting tribute.”
