The Fire and Rescue Service said the pair had been travelling up the hill when they smashed into a wall, activating both of the car’s airbags, shortly before 01:30.
A fire engine and specialist rescue unit involving six firefighters from Green Watch went to the scene of the crash.
The pair were then taken to hospital by paramedics.
