The victim in the Les Quennevais attack was described by police as having been “seriously assaulted”. He was discharged from hospital at around 5 pm yesterday after being treated.
The incident took place in the alley behind Les Quennevais Park at around 3.30 am on Saturday morning, and two men are helping police with their inquiries.
The other assault in the early hours of Saturday morning involved a man being headbutted in the face by one assailant, and then punched in the face by another.
The incident happened at Snow Hill between 2.30 am and 2.45 am.
