All three emergency services attended the scene on Sunday evening.

In a statement this evening, Jersey Fire and Rescue Service said a 999 call was received at 17:03.

The statement explained: “Upon arrival, our crews found the vehicle overturned, having fallen over the edge of a 20-foot wall and landing on its roof.

“An elderly female passenger was already receiving care from States of Jersey Police officers, while the driver was trapped inside.

“Our Fire Crews worked alongside paramedics to provide medical assistance to the casualty and began the process of extricating the driver using hydraulic rescue equipment.”

Both individuals were safely removed from the wreckage and transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Emergency services remained on the scene to secure the area and ensure the vehicle was made safe.

The operation was carried out with the deployment of two fire appliances, a rescue unit, and the duty officer, in collaboration with police and ambulance services.
