The road was closed between Le Mont Sohier and La Route des Petit Mielles for while fire crews dealt with the blaze near Silver Springs Nursing Home.
The fire is understood to have broken out around 16:00.

Sharing a photo of the burnt-out vehicle on Facebook around 18:15, the Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews reported shortly before 18:15 Our crews have been dealing with a road sweeper on fire on Rue de Genets, St. Brelade.
“The road was closed for a while but is now open again.
“The driver escaped unhurt.”
