In a statement, the Government said impersonator is copying official posts and creating new fake ones – and that the issue has been reported to BlueSky’s support team.

A spokesperson said: “We urge everyone to remain vigilant, as impersonators may attempt scams.
“The Government of Jersey will never request personal information via private messages.”
The Government said that its only official account on BlueSky is @govjsy.bsky.social.
Members of the public are urged to follow this verified account to avoid misinformation or potential scams, and to report any suspicious activity or accounts directly to BlueSky.
