A stranded family of ducks has been given a happy ending, with the heartwarming moment they returned to the water captured on camera.
In footage shared by the JSPCA, a mother duck is seen leading her seven tiny ducklings in a line as they waddle back to safety after their rescue.
The family had earlier been found trapped in a large ditch with no way out – a perilous situation that left them unable to reach water.
They were rescued by the charity’s ambulance driver Mark, who carefully lifted them out of their dangerous predicament.
After being freed, the ducks were given a quick health check to make sure none had been injured.
Once they were confirmed to be “all safe and well”, the family was taken to a nearby secure spot and released – allowing them to “continue their journey together”.
The clip has already delighted viewers online, with many praising the rescue and the ducks’ determined little march back to the water.
