A cyclist walked to hospital with injuries to her head and leg after allegedly being knocked down by a car in St Peter.

The incident took place at around 8pm on 30 September in the area of La Vallee de St Pierre near the Vic in the Valley pub.

Police have said that the collision involved a black Fiat Panda and a female cyclist who was wearing a high visibility jacket. The cyclist was struck by the vehicle, which initially stopped before it then left without exchanging any details or ensuring the cyclists welfare. It is believed that there were five people within the vehicle.

The cyclist walked from the scene to St Helier and was later admitted to hospital with injuries to her head and leg. She was later discharged and her injuries were deemed not serious.
