Woman who died in St Brelade crash named

Police have named the 78-year-old woman who died in a two-vehicle crash in St Brelade on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to Route des Genêts at around 14:50 on Sunday following a reported collision involving two vehicles.

States of Jersey Police confirmed on Monday that the woman, who was driving one of the vehicles, later died in hospital.

This morning, they confirmed her to be Linda O’Brien, known as Margaret.

The force said that specialist officers were continuing their investigations and continuing to support her family.
