Elijah Eric Silbourne appeared in the Magistrate’s Court over the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday period, on Friday 3 June, charged with the importation of the Class A controlled drug.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw, presiding, deemed the case too serious to be dealt with at Magistrate’s Court level and declined jurisdiction.
Mr Silbourne is due to appear in the Royal Court on 28 July. He has been remanded in custody in the meantime.
Advocate Carla Carvalho appeared for the prosecution, while Advocate Nicholas Miere was representing Mr Silbourne.
