The run starts at 09:00 from FB Fields, St Clement, and every finisher will get a medal, plus there will be trophies for those who end in the top ten for both the men’s and women’s race.
The Jayson Lee Memorial Run has so far raised around £30,000 for Jersey Hospice Care.
Brenton Lee said: “The run was set up for my brother, who died while playing football for St John’s at FB Fields on January 17th, 2009. As Jayson was a keen sportsman and enjoyed running, a 10K run was the perfect choice and a great way to raise money for Jersey Hospice Care, which was Jayson’s favourite charity.”
Emelita Robbins, Chief Executive of Jersey Hospice Care, said: “Thank you to the Lee family for putting on the event in memory of Jayson for Jersey Hospice Care again. It is a really popular event within the running community but also attracts a lot of ‘non-runners’ as well.”
Mark Pickford’s Cycle Shop has sponsored the event.
