Guernsey Tennis & Padel has announced several leadership changes to oversee the continued development of both sports on the island.

Gerald Hough has stepped down following several years of service, while Rob West, a multi-time island tennis champion, is succeeding Keith Stubbington as Chair of the club.

Mr Stubbington will remain on the board until the end of the year to assist with the transition.

Mike Griffith-Dixon has taken over from Chris Hickling as Treasurer, with Mr Hickling now leading the Padel Committee as Chair.

Both Dominic Woolland and Olly Cull have joined the board as Directors, with the duo focussing on expanding the padel programme, coaching, and junior participation.

The board continues to be supported by Louise Inder (Veterans’ Tennis), Lynne Martel (Secretary), and Keith Stubbington.

A spokesperson from Guernsey Tennis & Padel said the changes “strongly” positioned the club as it “continues to develop both tennis and padel across the island,” while also “supporting players of all ages and abilities while building for the future.”

“The Board of GTAP is always looking for assistance from volunteers who may have an interest in being involved in its varied initiatives. Roles can vary depending on one’s interests and skillset.

“If you wish to discuss how you could play an integral part in supporting the provision of tennis and padel in Guernsey, the GTAP Board would very much like to hear from you.
