A total of 136 people took on the 4.75mile Full Course around L’Ancresse Common.

Nix Petit (31:04) won a close battle with Eloise Scholes (31:16) for the women’s honours.

Richard Bartram was second overall in 25:21 and Rick Weston followed in 25:43. Hannah Kennedy (33:20) was the third woman home.

A “half course” was also staged for the junior athletes with the fields led home by Daniel Jamieson and Grace King.

Runners can tackle the same course on New Year’s Day, with a handicap system in place to ensure a tight finish with slower runners heading off first. Entries need to be in by midday today [New Year’s Eve].
