Guernsey FC are looking for the first ever mascot to take to the field, for the team’s first games at their new home ground.
To enter you have to be a Green Lions superfan aged 12 or under. You’ll need to create a short video, (30-60 seconds), answering the question: “Who is your favourite Guernsey FC player and why?”.
You’ll then need to send the video to Guernsey FC, by Friday 14 March, before they play their first home game at Victoria Park on Saturday 29 March.
The club has provided some helpful tips to give you the best chance at being selected for a mascot:
- Hold your phone upright, in portrait mode, when recording.
- Make sure to film in a well-lit area, with minimal background noise.
- Be Yourself, and show your enthusiasm for Guernsey FC.
The mascot will walk out before the team ahead of their first match at Victoria Park on Saturday 29 March, so the winner must be available on this date to see the Green Lions face Westfield. Kick-off will be at 14.00.
Not only will the winner be the official mascot for the game, they’ll also receive four tickets, a behind-the-scenes tour of Victoria Park, a pre-match photo opportunity, and a signed souvenir programme.
The Green Lions are in action this weekend, facing Raynes Park Vale away in their first match off island in almost a month.
