Le Tissier could not attend the ceremony as she was busy preparing for the England Lionesses’ next matches.
But in a recorded message she said: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the award.
“I really appreciate it, and all the support and the votes for me. I feel very proud to have won the award.”
Le Tissier was an unused substitute as England lost to France 2-1 in Newcastle.
The result leaves them sitting third in their Euro qualifying group with four points, level with Sweden. France are top with nine points.
Sarina Wiegman’s side travel to Saint-Etienne for a second meeting with France tomorrow night.
