While Seb Priaulx and his teammate Laurin Heinrich in AO Racing the No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R could not repeat the success of earlier rounds, their sixth place in a tight Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International kept them in the lead of the GTD Pro class drivers championship.

Priaulx and Heinrich lead the Lexus duo of Ben Barnicoat and Jack Hawksworth by 49 points after five of 10 races, with yesterday’s race winner Ross Gunn a further 11 points back.
Gunn and co-driver Alex Riberas took the chequered flag after the Corvette being driven by Tommy Milner was forced to stop for fuel while leading with one lap to go.
“It was really important not to take any unnecessary risks,” Gunn said. “It was always a case of if there was a chance, take it. I could see that whenever (Milner) had a tiny gap, he was lifting and coasting in Turn 8 and Turn 1. I just made sure I pressed him as hard as I could. In the end, it was enough.”
Next up is the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park from 12 to 14 July.
