With the amount of time before the 2025 Guernsey Rally turning from days into hours, organisers have offered potential spectators, and members of the public, specific advice and instructions on how to get the most out of the petrol-fest.
This advice ranges from designated areas to watch from to safety tips, and general rules.
They’ve said that islanders must walking along the competitive stages, and said spectators should arrive at least 30 minutes before the first car of the day, park responsibly without blocking access, and respect safety marshals’ instructions.
Taking to social media, the admin of the Rally’s Facebook page said: “We have marked on the Spectator maps the designated viewing areas and parking, however should you choose to watch from any other areas PLEASE ensure that you are not walking on competitive stages. Cars will be travelling at high speeds and spectators are NOT to walk on the rally route.
“We kindly request that all spectators are in place at least #30Minutes before the first car is due it is a MSUK requirement (see below #provisional times on each stage for 0 Car).
“With regards to parking please ensure that you are not parked on private property, drives or Farmers land, do not block entrances and ensure that you leave access for residents to go in/out of their properties”.
The Rally organisers have used What3Words locations to highlight the safe spaces to watch from, with the codes and a link to the company’s website at the bottom of this story.

With motorsport carrying inherent risks, the organisers are urging spectators to always be aware of their own safety, to follow event signs, and crucially, to stay off the rally stages at all times.
Quoting a popular police slogan, they are also making it clear that with rally, you have to ‘expect the unexpected’, remembering that cars may cut corners or leave the road.
They also ask that you be responsible and take any rubbish or litter with you.
The first stage takes place this Friday, from 13:30 on the west coast near Lihou.
The second and third stages take place tomorrow evening from approximately 18:00 at Vaugrat and in the Vale.
There’s more action on Saturday as well, with four more stages set for St Saviour’s, St Andrew’s, the reservoir, and Petit Bot.
Each of these stages provides chances to provide a racing backdrop that only Guernsey can with hundreds of people expected to be watching each one.
