Community spirit is the focus of a brand new pre-season football tournament launching in Guernsey this summer, at Victoria Park.
The Spirit Cup will unite players from eight local clubs with fans ahead of the 2025/26 season getting underway.
The tournament kicks off on Wednesday 16 July at 19:00 with support from headline sponsor Spirit meaning entry fees to every fixture will be waived at the turnstiles.
The tournament will play out over the following three weeks before the Spirit Cup Finals take place at the stadium on Friday 8 August.
All seven local football clubs – Belgrave Wanderers, North, Vale Rec, Rangers, Rovers, St Martins, and Sylvans – will be competing for the winners’ title.
They’ll be joined in the competition by the newly-established Guernsey FC Development team, managed by Leon Meakin, the island’s U18s Muratti Manager.

Rob Jones from the Victoria Park Steering Committee, said it’s a great opportunity for football fans to see some action this summer.
“We’re thrilled to support the launch of the new Spirit Cup, and can’t wait for kick-off later this month.
“Victoria Park is a community venue with football at its heart, and we wanted to show this by inviting players and fans for a free tournament in the run-up to the new season.
“The friendly rivalry between our island clubs should make for some fantastic sporting entertainment, and we’re pleased to welcome the Guernsey FC Development team for the first time, who will now doubt look to make their mark in their group.”
