Jersey Men’s national cricket team will grace the hallowed turf of Lords Cricket Ground tomorrow for two T20 matches against the MCC.

Jersey Cricket chief executive Sarah Gomersall said: “Playing at Lord’s, the Home of Cricket, is a special honour and I would like to acknowledge and thank Dean Morrison for his support in making this fixture possible.

“The occasion offers players and everyone involved a unique opportunity to experience one of the most historic venues in world sport, adding further significance to an already meaningful fixture.

“It also provides an opportunity to recognise the contribution of Jersey-based officials, with Mr R L Stockton and Mr S Selvachandran appointed as umpires and Mr Y N Patel as scorer.”

The fixture forms a key part of Jersey’s preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Europe Qualifier in May, providing high-quality opposition and a valuable early-season test for the squad.

It also comes ahead of an exciting weekend of cricket, with Scotland A visiting the island to play four T20 matches at Grainville on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April.

The squad also includes a debut call-up for promising fast bowler Luke Bosio, a proud moment in his cricketing career. Bosio becomes the first men’s player from Chirpy’s Cricket Club, established in 2017, to be selected for Jersey at senior level, marking a notable milestone for both player and club.
