Jersey enjoyed a dominant weekend across sport, with inter-insular hockey taking centre stage as the island went unbeaten against Guernsey.
“The Big Stick” remains on home soil after Jersey Hockey produced an unbeaten return across all six fixtures at Les Quennevais and Claremont.
The men’s first team delivered the headline result with a 2-0 victory, as player-coach Robbie Forrest opened the scoring before Barney Aston doubled the lead in the second half.

The men’s seconds were held to a 1-1 draw, with Tom Louwe converting a short corner before Guernsey equalised from a penalty flick, while the thirds produced a ruthless display in an 8-0 win. Jake Le Boutillier and Ollie Ferguson both scored twice in a dominant performance.
In the women’s fixtures, the first team battled to a 2-2 draw, with Emma Bower and Tallulah Spry on the scoresheet in a fiercely contested encounter. The seconds and thirds both secured victories, with the latter claiming a 3-0 win.
The results ensured Jersey retained inter-insular honours once again, continuing their strong recent record in the fixture.
Away from hockey, Jersey’s Under-21s secured a convincing 5-2 victory over Guernsey in the Ambassadeur Bowl, with Stan Dunne and Seaney McColgan both scoring twice alongside captain Will Yates.
The Jersey Bulls were held to a 2-2 draw away at Erith Town, with Jamie Watling and Lorne Bickley on target. Despite dropping points, results elsewhere mean they remain in the play-off places.
There was also an impressive 7-3 away win for the Jersey Bulls Women, while further local football action and Junior Star Series fixtures saw continued success for Jersey sides.
Overall, it was a weekend defined by strong performances across the board – and, most importantly, another clear statement of Jersey’s dominance over their Channel Island rivals.
