The Bailiwick Sports Podcast is back with episode eight of The Warm Up, as we head into the business end of the season with plenty unfolding across Jersey sport.
Jersey Bulls return to Springfield this weekend looking to extend their unbeaten run in 2026 as the play-off race enters a decisive phase.
The islanders, now 11 games without defeat, host an in-form Eastbourne Town side who arrive full of confidence after eye-catching results against Sittingbourne and Faversham Town – two of the Bulls’ closest rivals in the battle for the top six.
With all three sides now level on games played and separated by just three points, the margin for error is shrinking rapidly with only seven matches remaining.
The Jersey Bulls Women are also in action away from home to Horley Town as they look to continue their impeccable start to life in the English football pyramid.
Elsewhere, Jersey’s next generation will take centre stage on Sunday as the Bulls Girls Academy Under-11s and Under-13s travel to Guernsey for inter-insular fixtures at Victoria Park – another valuable opportunity for young players to gain off-island experience.
In local football, attention turns to a huge clash in Premiership 1 as Jersey Wanderers host St Clement in what could prove pivotal in the title race.
The two sides meet for the fifth time this season, with Wanderers having edged the head-to-head record so far, setting up another finely balanced encounter.
In Championship 2, St Paul’s Reserves have already secured the title with a game to spare and could yet complete an unbeaten season – following on from their Under-18 side achieving the same feat last weekend.
Away from football, it is a big weekend for rugby with a final double-header for Jersey’s senior sides.
The Jersey RFC Women face a stern test against unbeaten league leaders Hove, while the Jersey RFC Men – already crowned champions – take on Camberley as they look to maintain their perfect record. The Royals also face a tough away trip against top-of-the-table Pullborough.
Meanwhile, the Evelyn Parnters Jets 2’s bring their season to a close against Team Bath B, and Devizes as they sit comfortably in mid-table after a consistent campaign.
Oliver Kidman mentions the upcoming Jersey Leonis ABC boxers facing a Welsh select at the Radisson Hotel on Saturday evening.
As always, White Collar Darts chatter continues, and the team discuss their predicitions for this weekend’s Fixture Forecast.
