Guernsey and Jersey’s leading table tennis players faced off in the annual inter-insular clash on the weekend.
It produced a rare success for Jersey, as former Scottish international Chris Wheeler came through the competition unbeaten.
Fellow Caesarean Leon Pierre was second, his only loss coming against the champion, while Lawrence Stacey was the Sarnian’s leading player in third.
Having been unbeaten against all the Guernsey players, Stacey dropped points against Chris Morshead (6-11, 9-11, 9-11), Pierre (10-12, 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-13) and Wheeler (7-11, 7-11, 10-12).
His brother, Joshua Stacey, was fourth overall.
