A new year-long sponsorship deal has helped support STEP Jersey's programme of educational events for fiduciary professionals.

STEP Jersey is one of the oldest and largest branches of the body of trusts and estate practitioners in the world, with over 1,000 members and it hosts regular lunchtime continuing professional development and networking events, as well as an annual conference highlighting themes of interest to trust and estate practitioners.

This year it will also be holding an awards afternoon in March to recognise the best students in the STEP International Diploma and Certificate exams and an inaugural summer ball in June.

Supporting the events series this year isĀ Investec Bank (Channel Islands) Limited.

STEP Jersey Chair Stephen Alexander said: "We're delighted to have Investec on board as our sponsor. They're the first bank we have partnered with, and it feels like the perfect fit, giving STEP the benefit of their extensive experience in banking for trust and corporate service providers."

Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Head of Trust and Corporate Banking at Investec, Andy Smith said: "We are looking forward to working with the team at STEP Jersey. They're a great strategic fit with our trust sector and offer vital training and support across the island."

The agreement runs to the end of December 2024 and includes support for STEP Jersey's headline event, the annual conference in October which will focus on the potential for, and challenges of AI.
