Jersey Community Foundation (JCF) calls on the arts, science, and sport sectors to apply for lottery funding to help our community thrive.
Jersey Community Foundation (JCF) has opened applications to their Channel Island Lottery funding. Charitable and not-for-profit organisations have until 14 April to apply for a portion of over £300,000 via JCF’s website.
The Funding, which is split into broad community themed funds: heritage; arts; science; sports and active lifestyle, offers finance to organisations and projects that can demonstrate they are contributing to the wellbeing of our island community.

“Channel Island Lottery funding offers a brilliant opportunity for community-driven projects to get off the ground and to thrive to the benefit of all. Arts, sports, and scientific pursuits help lift us up when we are stressed, they help us process difficult experiences, they can help us express ourselves, improve our mental and physical wellbeing and they are crucial in the education and advancement of our entire community.
These community-driven groups often run on very lean budgets, operating on the thinnest of margins, prioritising the benefit to community over any profit and it is JCF’s pleasure to help fund them.
We would like to encourage any organisation looking for project funding within our themed areas, to apply before the deadline (Sunday 14 April) or to get in touch with our team to find out more.”
A small sample of JCF, Channel Islands Lottery funded projects in 2023 include Jersey Arts in Health Care Trust’s musical tours in healthcare settings (£10,000); supporting the purchase of new tennis tables for Jersey Table Tennis Association, and the gifting of old ones to schools and other organisations (£13,000); a risk assessment of non-native marine species by the Natural Environment Team (£4,300); funding a bespoke timeline of the World at St Clement’s School (£1,900) and supporting the popular Skate Park for St Brelade’s Youth Project (£40,000).
Funding criteria is in place, but the JCF encourages enquiries to scope out projects for possible funding with our grants team. Funds available are directly related to Channel Island Lottery ticket sales the previous year. Lottery ticket sales across the Channel Islands were down in 2022 and so the 2023 pool of funding is less than previous years.
