Krista Osborne, Account Manager at Black Vanilla, has been named ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at the PRCA DARE Awards for South West of England and South Wales.
The award celebrates the industry’s most promising early-career professionals across the South-West region, recognising excellence in public relations.
Ms Osborne joined the Channel Islands and UK PR and Events agency in 2019 and has gone on to play a pivotal role in the agency’s senior team. Ms Osborne operates across PR, social media, and events, playing a key role in a wide variety of campaigns.
She has been involved with organising the British Irish Council events in Guernsey, Jersey and Scotland, Guernsey’s Coronation celebrations, and Liberation Day as well as corporate events across the Channel Islands.
Ms Osborne is also responsible for social media and content creation work and delivers social media training for business and charity organisations, clients, start-up incubators and students.
In her six years at Black Vanilla, Ms Osborne has progressed rapidly, earning three promotions. She now manages multiple clients across various industries including hospitality, finance and the third sector.

Black Vanilla recently celebrated its third year achieving the PRCA Communications Management Standard (CMS) at the end of 2024, remaining the only Channel Islands agency to hold this accreditation.
