The best workplaces in Guernsey – as chosen by their own employees – have been named.
The inaugural Guernsey’s Best Workplace competition, powered by Compass, came to a conclusion last night.
The winners gathered at the OGH to receive their awards and to share tips on ensuring welcoming and supportive workplaces for all of their staff.
The best small business is CBO, the best medium sized business is IslandHealth, and the best large business is Julius Baer.

There were also spotlight awards in various categories with CBO Projects highlighted for its efforts to ensure the wellbeing of its team members.

KPMG was given the spotlight prize for inclusivity.

Islands Insurance was awarded the spotlight prize for ‘Career Development’.

The ‘Line Manager’ spotlight award went to Bank Julius Baer while IslandHealth was highlighted for its ‘Future Focused’ thinking.

Launched in 2024 in Jersey, the Best Workplace initiative is a collaboration between All Island Media – the parent company of Bailiwick Express and the Jersey Evening Post – and Compass.
The initiative is designed to give businesses of all sizes and sectors the opportunity to gauge their employees’ views on eight key areas: reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment, personal pride, job satisfaction and wellbeing, line management, and learning and development.
The winners are chosen by their own employees – with those scoring the highest in employee engagement surveys being awarded last night.

A special e-publication will be released at the end of April showcasing the award winners in more details.
They will also be highlighted in the next issue of CONNECT, due out in June/July.
