Guernsey’s Hotel de Havelet has been awarded the ‘Brand Ambassador Award’ at the Best Western Annual Members Conference 2026.
The award recognises the hotel’s high brand engagement and commitment to guest experience.
It was also shortlisted for a Sustainability Award and Hotel of the Year.
Moores Hotel was also recognised at the awards for its 40 years affiliation with Best Western.
Karel Harris, Managing Director of the Sarnia Hotels Group, attributed these successes to substantial investments made in the group’s facilities.
“Being shortlisted in multiple categories, receiving the Brand Ambassador Award, and celebrating milestone recognitions across both properties marks a tremendous achievement for the group.
“Over the last ten years, the hotel group has made substantial investments to facilities, enhancing guest experiences and ensuring both properties continue to evolve in line with brand expectations and market demands.
“The focus has remained firmly on delivering quality whilst maintaining the warm, authentic hospitality for which the hotels are known.”

General Manager of Hotel de Havelet, Gennaro Festivo said his hotel’s award was testament to his team’s passion for enhancing their guests’ experiences.
“We are incredibly honoured to receive this award, which is a great testament to the hard work and passion of our entire team at Hotel de Havelet,” he said.
“These achievements reaffirm our continuous dedication to enhancing guest experiences and upholding the values that make us a proud part of the Best Western family, and we look forward to welcoming even more guests to our beautiful hotel.”
