A de Gruchy beauty consultant is celebrating 25 years of working with Lancôme this month.

Linda Stark has worked in retail for two and a half decades, joining the de Gruchy team three years ago.

“I have always loved Lancôme and when the opportunity came up at de Gruchy, I saw it as a chance to grow the counter and take on a new challenge,” she said.

According to Ms Stark, today’s consumers are increasingly seeking tailored consultations and expert, one-to-one advice rather than purely transactional experiences.

“The role has evolved with more training, more science behind the products and a stronger focus on understanding what really works for different customers,” she explained.

“People want that one-to- one attention and to feel confident in what they’re buying.”

“Personal service is everything,” explained Ms Stark. “If you take the time to really look after your customers, the sales will follow.

“Many of my customers have been with me for over 20 years, and that trust is something I value enormously.”

The Jersey beauty consultant has received multiple prestigious awards from Lancôme, including the Golden Rose and Diamond Rose, placing her among the brand’s top-performing consultants globally.

She is also recognised as one of the leading sales consultants in the UK, with ambitions to achieve the brand’s Platinum Rose award.

L’Oréal regional business manager Catriona Rafferty said: “The rose is a defining symbol of Lancôme, representing elegance, heritage and French luxury.

“The Golden Rose award recognises those who deliver exceptional service and truly embody the brand’s values.

“Linda is a standout example, having achieved both the Golden and Diamond Rose awards.

“Her dedication to her customers and her ability to elevate the in-store experience make her an inspirational ambassador for Lancôme.”
