Independent think tank Policy Centre Jersey has appointed a new director.
Jenny Bevis said she was “delighted” to join the Policy Centre as director.
She has experience in policy and regulatory issues, including within the government on areas such as Brexit preparation, the control of pesticides, and rural and environmental grant schemes.
Ms Bevis is a also a director and principal consultant at specialist consultancy Tautenay Ltd, which specialises in regulation, strategy, and policy across the agriculture, environment, fisheries and food sectors.
Policy Centre chair Alan Merry said: “We are delighted that Jenny is joining the Policy Centre team as Director.
“The Centre has gone from strength to strength over the past year and is now widely recognised as making a significant contribution to improving the understanding of the many policy issues in the island for the benefit of islanders.
“Jenny has exactly the right combination of expertise and experience to further develop the island’s independent think tank as a key part of the island’s public policy infrastructure.”
Ms Bevis said: “The role is a natural fit, bringing together my strategic leadership experience and passion for research.
“I am excited to contribute to the informed, evidence-based work of the Policy Centre and look forward to working with the team and its stakeholders to further strengthen the Centre’s sustainability, impact and reputation for trusted, high-quality analysis.”
