“Leading lawyer” Simon Hopwood has joined Walkers in Jersey as an Investment Funds and Corporate partner.
He will be based in the firm’s Investment Funds and Corporate practice group, led by managing partner Advocate Jonathan Heaney.
Mr Hopwood joins fellow Jersey-based offshore Investment Funds and Corporate partners Tatiana Collins, Dilmun Leach and Kevin McQuillan.
The firm said Mr Hopwood, who has spent over 20 years practising in Jersey, has significant experience advising a global client base including managers, sponsors, institutional investors and family offices on all aspects of offshore funds, investment management, corporate transactions and regulatory matters.
Before joining Walkers, he led the Funds and Investment Management team at a global offshore law firm in Jersey for six years.
Mr Hopwood is qualified as a Jersey advocate, UK solicitor and New York attorney-at-law, and has been consistently recognised by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.
