Two local charities are joining together to host Drop Dead Gorgeous, an 18+ Halloween Casino Night with a super spooky special edition Drag Bingo starring a special guest star from the current-series RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
All funds raised will directly support on-island support services, split between hosts Safer, domestic abuse charity, and LGBTQ+ charity Liberate.
Non-stop entertainment is on the cards with casino style games including roulette, blackjack, crown and anchor, plus drag bingo and a very special Human Fruit Machine game. There is also a spooky disco dancefloor, and a special live halloween set from local musicians Faolán Gill and Kiya Ashton.
“Safer is delighted to be hosting this event alongside our friends at Liberate,” said Naomi Wright, CEO, Safer LBG. “We share a common goal in working together to support inclusion, equality, and the wellbeing of our whole community. We are looking forward to a fantastic night of celebration.”
Held at the Duke of Richmond Hotel from 7pm on Friday 31 October, attendees are encouraged to go all-out in fancy dress for a chance to win the Best Dressed prize, with some other fantastic prizes also up for grabs.
“We are celebrating inclusion, community and joy while showing solidarity around the rights, respect, and dignity of women and Trans+ people,” said Ellie Jones, Liberate CEO.
Tickets include a welcome glass of fizz, canapés, and 100 casino chips. £50 Early Bird tickets are selling fast, rising to £65 once sold.
Ellie Jones said: “It will be a one-of-a-kind Halloween celebration featuring UK drag royalty and petrifying performances – full of glitz, glamour, and just the right amount of mischief.”
Drop Dead Gorgeous is kindly sponsored by Little Big Group and CBO Projects. Tickets are available at via the ‘Whats On’ section of the www.liberate.gg website or directly from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/liberate-guernsey/t-krvyglm
