Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association has launched a new fundraising initiative, the 365 Club, alongside a refreshed website and logo, as it aims to raise funds and awareness to support its vital work within the local community.

With Alzheimer’s and dementia diagnoses on the rise across the Bailiwick, the Association has experienced increasing demand for its services, from providing respite for carers to hosting social afternoons and activities at the charity’s headquarters in St Sampson’s.

The 365 Club invites islanders to pledge a donation of £365 over 365 days, with all funds raised going directly towards improving the lives of islanders affected by dementia and supporting their families.

The charity has also introduced a distinctive new logo and refreshed website. Working with local design agency Two Degrees North, the rebrand aims to better highlight the charity’s work and make it easier to access the support services available following a dementia diagnosis.

Julie Thompson, Manager at Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, said: “With diagnoses on the rise in Guernsey, supporting the growing number of islanders affected by dementia – and their carers – has never been more important.

“Fundraising is critical to ensuring we can continue providing community services that offer a lifeline to those we support, whether that’s through carer respite, community activities or creating a welcoming space where people can share their experiences.

“We hope our rebrand will raise greater awareness of our work and the support available after a diagnosis, while the 365 Club will encourage everyone, from schoolchildren to local businesses, to make the year-long pledge to join us and help more people to live well with dementia.”
