The States of Guernsey has warned about emails currently being received purporting to be from the Revenue Service.
A spokesperson said: “We’ve been made aware of emails which claim to have been sent from the Revenue Service but are actually scams.
“Although these emails look very similar to emails sent out by the Revenue Service, if you check the email address that it is sent from you will see it is not a States of Guernsey address.
“Please do not click on any attachments or links within these emails and please do not reply to them. If you know anyone who may be particularly vulnerable to this type of scam, please help to make them aware.
“If you have signed up to receive email correspondence from the Revenue Service, such as assessments or coding notices, these will be sent from noreply.revenueservice@gov.gg. Any emails from members of staff within the Revenue Service will also be sent from emails ending with ‘@gov.gg’.
“Please be aware of this scam, and if you have already engaged with it, please contact your bank’s fraud team and start a report on the Action Fraud website.”
More information about email correspondence from the Revenue Service is available at gov.gg/revenue-service-contact-us.
