Eligible islanders are encouraged to stay protected by taking up the offer of a covid-19 spring booster vaccine.
For the first time, covid-19 vaccinations are available at GP surgeries, making it easier than ever for eligible islanders to get the best protection from serious illness from covid-19. The vaccines will continue to be available free of charge.
Appointments can be booked with GP surgeries from Tuesday 16 April and will be offered until mid-June.
Islanders who are eligible for the spring booster include those:
- Aged 75 and over
- Aged six months and over who are immunosuppressed
- Who are residents in care homes for older people
Islanders will need to contact their GP surgeries from 16 April to make a free appointment. Delivery may vary from practice to practice. Those who are residents in care homes will be vaccinated where they reside.
