ArtHouse Jersey is a charity that serves the Island community and international audiences by investing in artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work. The art they support and produce can be found in galleries, cinemas, online and performance venues both in Jersey and elsewhere as well as in schools, care-homes and Parish Halls across the Island.
ArtHouse Jersey moved to its headquarters at the historic Greve de Lecq Barracks in 2019 in order to provide a cultural hub for the Island, where artistic activity, creation and collaboration can thrive. Earlier this year the charity also opened ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House, a new multipurpose arts space located on the ground floor of 8 Church Street in St Helier, offering Islanders a new centralised hub for arts and creativity in town, featuring visual arts, dance, music, drama, film and poetry. Community is very much at the heart of ArtHouse Jersey, with an unwavering commitment to contributing to society through its work and outreach programme.

ArtHouse Jersey’s Acting Chair, Gailina Liew, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for ArtHouse Jersey. Following the untimely passing of our previous and well-known chair, Philip Hewat-Jaboor, we’ve continued to work on a programme of organisational development and expanded the team to support the development and delivery of ever more ambitious and impactful projects.
"We are now seeking a new Chair who will have a proven and impressive track record of strategic leadership, advocacy and a passion to ensure that access to arts and culture are embedded as an essential element of our lives. We are also seeking to appoint additional board members and keen to hear from candidates with experience in fundraising, organisational development and arts practitioners. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading arts organisation.”
ArtHouse Jersey is an active supporter of all aspects of diversity and recruits against objective criteria. Those interested are asked to visit www.arthousejersey.je/board-recruitment for more information about the role and details on how to apply.
