If you’ve experienced great customer service, promoters of an awards scheme aimed at highlighting good practice want to hear from you.

Organisers say that last year there were more than 10,000 nominations for the TravelSolutions Customer Service Awards, and this year they are hoping for even more.

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Radisson Blu Hotel on the Waterfront on Thursday 6th October. That’s been timed to coincide with National Customer Service Week.

It’s the sixth year the awards have been presented.

Awards founder Julie Todd says: “Nominations are invited from anyone who is on the Island between the periods 1st August to 9th September, although Islanders are welcome to give examples of their experiences from the beginning of the year.”

The awards recognise service across the spectrum, whether it’s individuals or a team, in the private or public sector, working in tourism, hospitality or retail.

You can make your nominations by picking up a form at a number of shops and businesses – including Jersey Post; or by going online here.

Ms Todd goes on to say: “Jersey is an exceptional island and we are all so lucky to live or holiday here. Everyone will experience good and bad service in Jersey at some point in time. Social media makes it easier than ever for us to complain when things go wrong. The awards give the Jersey public the opportunity to redress the balance and recognise and reward those who do a fabulous job. It is free to nominate a team or individual, and you could really make someone’s day by doing so.”
