The Jersey charity providing nursing care in the community has appointed an experienced nurse to the role of clinical services manager.

In her new role at Family Nursing and Home Care (FNHC) Karen Paul - a Registered Nurse, qualified district nurse and community practice teacher - will be responsible for the operational management of the clinical services division.

Her responsibilities will include deputising for the chief executive officer, assisting in the management of resources both clinical and non-clinical, ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures and supporting the development of clinical standards and the provision of high quality care.

"My knowledge and experience is very relevant to my responsibilities at Family Nursing & Home Care. I feel that I can make a valuable contribution to improving both the quality and range of services for the population of Jersey," said Mrs Paul.

As a new member of the FNHC team, Mrs Paul has previously been involved with FNHC as part of her work in the commissioning arm at Health and Social Services, relating to the development of out of hospital services.

"I know that working with Family Nursing & Home Care will give me enormous job satisfaction. There will be challenges but I aim to use my expertise and skills to influence and develop the modernisation of services within the organisation. I look forward to working as part of a strong team with supportive people to deliver a wide range of community based services to islanders of all ages," she said.
