Human resources specialist, Law at Work (LAW) has appointed a new HR Business Manager.

Peter Sims joins LAW following a successful career as HR Manager in a large Jersey-based hospitality business.

His HR experience covers a wide range of industries, including insurance, fulfilment, retail and hospitality. He also brings a strong commercial understanding to the business and will provide clients with a realistic and functional approach to dealing with HR issues.

Mr Sims (pictured) holds a Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has sat on the committee of the CIPD Jersey Branch for the past seven years.

He commented on his appointment: “I have known most of the LAW team for several years through my work with the local Jersey branch of CIPD and I’ve also benefited from the quality of their work as a client. The expertise, support and advice that LAW provides is second to none and it’s exciting to be joining such a professional and forward-thinking business. I’m looking forward to getting to know clients, building strong working relationships and helping to build our client base and reputation in the future.”

Kelly Flageul, LAW’s Managing Director, said: “I’ve known Peter for some time and have always enjoyed working with him for his knowledge, attitude and common-sense approach. It’s a pleasure to welcome him to the team as LAW continues to grow and develop new services.”
