New recruits at Walkers

Walkers has appointed two senior counsel and five associates to bolster its Channel Islands Banking and Finance and Private Capital practices.

Jon Le Rossignol and Sevyn Kalsi have joined as Senior Counsel in the Banking and Finance and Private Capital and Trusts teams respectively, while Dan Perkins and Louise Hamilton have been appointed as Senior Associates.

James Shannon, Meg McAuley and Joseph Barker-Willis have been appointed associates.

Jonathan Heaney, Managing Partner in Jersey, said: "We are delighted to welcome Jon to Walkers. He has a wealth of experience and is extremely well regarded by clients in London and internationally.

"Alongside this the appointments of Dan, Louise, James and Meg demonstrate the continued investment in the Jersey Finance, Corporate and Investment Funds team, and further highlight the importance of the jurisdiction to the global firm."

Commenting on Mr Kalsi's appointment, Fraser Hern, Head of the Channel Islands, added: "Sevyn's hire is part of a well thought-out plan not only to expand our Channel Islands business as a whole, but also to target the private capital sector.
