Friday 19 October 2018

The re-development of Charing Cross, including the construction of the Premier Inn Hotel and regeneration of Pitt Street, was one of the big winners at the 2018 Jersey Construction Council Awards.

It scooped the award for Ronez Project of the Year over £5million, with judges praising the building as being "of high quality, with innovative construction methods, strong environmental credentials, longevity, all with a positive lasting impact on its neighbours and the wider community."

It was also a successful night for Women in Construction, with the first ever female winner of the Highlands College/Skills Jersey Star of the Future Award going to Olivia Methven-Higgins from Camerons.

Also a first-time winner was Granite Le Pelley, who received the Comprop Business of the Year with Over 10 Employees Award.
