Big-budget multiplayer shooter Destiny bagged the Best Game BAFTA last night, despite a mixed response from the critics when it launched.
The game, developed by Bungie, the studio behind the iconic Halo franchise, picked up the top award at the show in London, which was hosted by comedian Rufus Hound.
The big winners of the night were British studio UsTwo, whose mobile game Monument Valley picked up two awards: Best British Game, as well as Best Mobile & Handheld title.
Among the other big names that also scooped awards on the night was The Last of Us, for the game’s downloadable story Left Behind. Far Cry 4 also picked up the award for music in a game.
Hollywood A-lister Kevin Spacey missed out however, after becoming the first person to be nominated for a Bafta in film, tv and video games.
