While many may opt for a cuddly companion, the JSPCA is offering islanders a more unique option for a pet...

Three Giant African Land Snails are currently up for adoption.

One of the largest terrestrial gastropods, these shell-covered slowpokes have an average lifespan of about five to seven years but when they have enough food, and the weather is satisfactory, they tend to live much longer.

Some of them have been known to live up to 10 years.

Those interested in rehoming the snails are asked to complete this form.

If anyone wants to find out more about them, contact the JSPCA here.
