It’s Madness for Jersey Live!

Thursday 24 March 2016

Madness, Richard Ashcroft, Sigma and Disclosure will headline this year’s Jersey Live.

The organisers have confirmed the headliners for the festival on 3 and 4 September – with Former Verve singer Richard Ashcroft and dance act Disclosure playing on the Saturday night, and ska legends Madness and drum and bass duo Sigma on the Sunday.

Last year’s event in Trinity saw what organisers called their best yet after 12 years, with George Ezra and Rudimental topping the bill.

First up for the Jersey Live team is the Folklore Festival at Val de la Mare on 12 June, which sees The Charlatans and The Levellers taking to the stage.

Warren Le Sueur from the organising team was delighted to have secured another great line up for the JT-sponsored event.

He said: “I’m absolutely stoked. Disclosure are clearly one of the biggest dance acts in the world right now and Madness are a big favourite spanning the decades, and we’re glad that they’ve confirmed that they’re coming back.

“Richard Ashcroft is a favourite booking of mine, we have been waiting to get him for many years and it’s finally happened. Sigma live is going to be a fun, energetic show, similar to what we have had with Rudimental and Chase and Status in the past.

“The mix is key for us – we live in an Island with a finite number of people, we have got to be eclectic in our output to be able to reach out to different parts of the community. We learned that in the early years of Jersey Live and it seems to be what we feel allows us to continue.

“We have got the rest of the main stage bill to announce for both days, we have got the dance arena to announce and we are working with local artists for the various stages. There’s plenty more to come, this is just the first wave.”
