Police hunt suspected toy shop purse thief

Police are looking for a woman suspected to have stolen a purse from a shopper in a toy shop.

A woman described as being in her 50s with “short, cropped brown hair” was believed to have taken a purse while the owner was doing Christmas shopping at the Entertainer on Saturday 24 November around 10:10.

At the time of the alleged offence, the suspect was reported to be wearing a black jacket, black trousers, black shoes and white gloves, and was also said to have been carrying a black handbag and a white plastic bag.

They have since released a CCTV image of the individual they believe took the purse, and are asking islanders that may be able to identify her to get in contact.
