Shop owner threatened with knife

Friday 06 January 2017

Armed police officers were called to a knife-point robbery at Temple Stores in Stopford Road last night.

They say that around 19:40 a robber threatened the store's owner with a knife, before stealing some cash from the till.

He's described as being six foot tall, aged between 35 and 40, and wearing a black leather-style jacket with a silver matt hood.

The shop's owner was unhurt, but the Police say he was "badly shaken" by the robbery.

They believe the robber may well have been hanging around outside the shop before the attack, and so are asking anyone who might have seen him, or who has other information on the robbery to contact them on 612 612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
