Thoughts turn to 2016 after another great Jersey Live

Tuesday 08 September 2015

After George Ezra and Rudimental brought another successful Jersey Live event to a close, the organisers say it was their best festival yet.

Last weekend saw a star-studded line-up at the Trinity event, which has been running for 12 years.

And organiser Warren Le Sueur said that besides a great line-up at the JT-sponsored festival, the venue looked the best it ever had.

He said: “We all think that they event was probably our most successful operationally, it looked amazing.

“The music was great on all stages, and there was just something for everyone to do, there was a real ‘wow factor’ about the venue this year.

“All in all, it was a complete success.”

Over the next few days, Warren and the rest of the team will be focussing on clearing up the site, having debriefs with the authorities including the police, and starting to think about Jersey Live 2016.

He said: “We will be speaking to some of the agents over the next week to get some feedback from the artists.

“Then we’ll set the date for next year. At the moment there’s a concerted effort to de-rig the site and hand it back in the same state that it was when we took over.”

And he said that one of the key moments of this year’s event was early on Sunday evening when The Proclaimers belted out their anthem “500 miles (I’m gonna be)”.

He said: “It was a nice moment. Everyone got together, the whole crowd had their hands in the air.”
