Witnesses sought to man's 'inappropriate behaviour' involving young girls

Monday 31 July 2017

Jersey Police believe two recent incidents involving 'inappropriate behaviour' may be linked.

On Thursday night, a man is alleged to have approached two 14-year-old girls and spoken to them inappropriately.

The incident happened at approximately 18:00 on La Grande Route de St Martin near the Co-op in Maufant.

No contact was made and the girls made it home where their parents called the Police.

The man's description is similar to that given of a man involved in another incident on Bath Street the previous day: approx. 60 years of age, slightly tanned, short grey hair with a grey moustache

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in that area around that time or with any further information is asked to contact the Police on 612612 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
