Guernsey Ports is organising the first-ever Travel Showcase planned to take place at Guernsey Airport in the new year.

The new event is being designed to “inspire islanders with holiday ideas and travel deals”, said the organisers.

“Events of this kind have proven highly successful at UK airports, helping people discover new destinations, secure exclusive savings, and receive personalised travel advice. We’re thrilled to bring this experience to Guernsey,” said Airport Director Richard Thomasson.

He’s expecting there to be around 20 exhibitors on 11 January, including airlines, travel agents, and tourism boards, who will offer first-hand travel advice, event-only discounts and holiday inspiration for trips departing from Guernsey Ports.

David Buddery, Commercial Development Project Manager at Guernsey Ports, said the Travel Showcase is designed primarily for Guernsey-based travellers, offering a convenient one-stop event for those planning their next trip.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring this event to life. The Showcase will bring a vibrant mix of travel-related businesses together in one place. There is still time for businesses to secure a spot, so we would encourage them to get involved. We’re asking islanders to save the date, and follow the event page, as we’ll be sharing exciting updates in the coming weeks.”
