The inaugural ‘Travel Showcase’ is gearing up to arrive at Guernsey Airport this weekend.
Taking place at 10am at Guernsey Airport, the event will see 25 travel businesses exhibiting deals for Guernsey based travellers for their holidays in 2026.
While there had been some doubt over whether it would be able to go ahead in light of Storm Goretti’s impact, it has been confirmed by Visit Guernsey this afternoon that it will.
Representatives from Heathrow Airport, Aurigny, Brittany Ferries and the tourism boards of Alderney and Sark will be in attendance, as well as tour operators like Fly Direct and car hire companies such as Sixt and Hertz.
The showcase aims to be “a convenient one-stop event for those planning their next trip in 2026”, organisers said.
Bailiwick Bar and Kitchen will also be providing complimentary buffet-style refreshments throughout the event.
David Buddery, Commercial Development Manager for Guernsey Ports, said there would be “something here for everyone – whether you are planning a short, low-cost break or a once-in-a-lifetime experience”.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for islanders to speak directly to travel providers, discover where they can travel from Guernsey in 2026, and secure exclusive offers and discounts towards their next trip,” he added.
Chief Commercial Officer at Aurigny Phillip Saunders said he was “sure that the Guernsey Airport Travel Showcase will act as a catalyst for the travel industry in 2026”.
The showcase comes in the same year that British Airways have announced a new direct route from Guernsey Airport to Heathrow. The flights are set to begin in April 2026.
External Affairs and Campaigns Manager for Heathrow Airport, Adam Gibbor, said the first ever Guernsey Travel Showcase would provide “a fantastic chance to meet with local people and businesses to discuss how this route will benefit the island”.
“We are excited to be attending and hope that this opportunity marks the start of long and successful partnerships,” he continued.
